A wedding in the Austrian Alps can take many forms — but few are as intentional, artful, and emotionally charged as this multi-day celebration in Vorarlberg – Bregenz, Hard, Nenzing and of Lake Constance.
Isabel and Fabian didn’t just plan their wedding — they designed every detail and created an incredible experience. Every detail, from the architecture to the lighting, the designs, the floral installations to the layout of the hangar-turned-party-space, was carefully chosen and crafted by the bride and groom themselves. Their vision: a blend of modernist aesthetics, natural beauty, and meaningful ritual.
The celebrations continued with a welcome party on the lake. we even had a rainbow showing up.
Pizza was served, and Hej Studio designed a beautifully designed food table. I loved photographing it, a real eye catcher.
The wedding weekend began with a civil ceremony in Bregenz, a lakeside town at the foot of the Alps. Bregenz is a cute city by the lake, a perfect minimalist canvas for the couple’s intimate legal vows. A backdrop of clean lines and soft mountain light, the atmosphere was magic.
After a week of raining, the sun came through just on time for their civil wedding. In between thunderstorms and rain, the clouds let the sun out. It created a magical "after the rain athmosphere". Being on the boat was incredibly beautiful.
The wedding ceremony itself took place in a striking Brutalist church in Hard, Austria. A bold choice — and one that paid off. The raw concrete architecture contrasted beautifully with the softness of the emotional ceremony. When Isabel started singing Elvis, I nearly cried, it was so beautiful, a real goose bump moment.
Lines, texture, contrast. music — everything a visual storyteller could dream of. The play between hard surfaces and soft moments made every image feel like a piece of art.
The celebration continued in a helicopter hangar in Bludesch — transformed from an industrial space into a stunning modern reception venue. Under high ceilings, guests dined, danced, and celebrated into the night. The decor leaned into sculptural elements, ambient lighting, and minimalist table settings that allowed conversation to take center stage.
Each space, each transition, felt considered — like chapters in a story that unfolded with intention, beauty, and heart.
What made this wedding truly unforgettable wasn’t just the architecture or lake setting. It was the deep personal imprint left on every moment. The couple designed the entire experience themselves — from the graphic identity of the stationery to the playlist at the hangar. Their creativity and clarity of vision made this wedding not just aesthetically stunning, but emotionally loaded.
