HOW I WORK 

If you’re planning a weekend celebration or destination wedding, a welcome party is the perfect way to kick things off—and we’ll be there to capture it all. From sunset drinks to casual dinners or local traditions, this relaxed event is full of candid, joyful moments with your closest friends and family. It’s also a great way to ease into the weekend and help everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera before the big day.

The morning of your wedding is filled with quiet anticipation and meaningful details. We’ll be there to photograph the behind-the-scenes moments as you get ready—zipping up dresses, tying ties, exchanging gifts, and sharing laughter (and maybe a few happy tears) with your inner circle. These intimate moments set the tone for the day and are always captured with care, subtlety, and a documentary approach.

Before the evening celebration, we continue with beautiful snapshots. Before the meal begins, we take a short time to scout out the location, set up our equipment, and work out any remaining small logistical details. 

Dinner is also often the time for speeches — and all the big emotions they bring. We take care to capture everyone’s joyful, teary-eyed reactions to the beautiful words. I definitely would encourage placing us in the dining room or one room over so that we don’t miss anything.

Dinner is usually followed by a big party! We'll be there (barely noticeable) when you're shaking a leg and setting the dance floor on fire. To fully capture your day from beginning to end, we’ll be on hand for at least 8 hours.

Please keep in mind that these methods serve only as a guide. Every wedding is unique, with its own particular set of needs, and I’m always ready to adapt my methods to photograph each individual wedding in the way it deserves.

During the wedding ceremony, we are very inconspicuous and quiet. We photograph you, the ceremony, and the guests in the audience. We get plenty of coverage of everyone’s reactions, so you’ll see plenty of laughter and smiling faces, as well as shots of the crying moms and dads in the front row. 

We also take care to get lots of careful, considered shots of the decorations, details and atmosphere. We also get plenty of awesome shots of your happy exit from the venue, of course. 

As a wedding photographer with years of experience, I know exactly where to position myself and my team to capture the best images without disrupting the ceremony.

Our focus is once again on photographing the emotionally charged, happy moments. We take particular care to capture those small, fleeting details that might otherwise go unnoticed: The special way you hug each other, the untamed children chasing each other across the dance floor, or a shared laugh between two old friends who have been brought together by the joyful occasion of your wedding.

The reception is also a perfect opportunity to take some group photos, so if you need us to gather your guests together in a courteous and unobtrusive way, just say the word!
